Guide / Copilot for Odoo / Read

Structure and diagnostics

Tools the Copilot uses to find its way around your Odoo: which models and fields it has, which version and modules, whether the connection works and what your user can do. You almost never need to ask for them: the Copilot uses them when it needs them.

Requirements

PlanCopilot for Odoo: Pro, Team or Business.
Permission in Conectores ERP«Permitir» (Allow) or «Bloquear» (Block). By default, Permitir (whatever the «Lectura» (Read) group is set to).
Your Odoo userAny internal user. For a full permissions diagnosis, the Access Rights group (base.group_erp_manager); without it, Odoo doesn't let the user read its access rules and the diagnosis is partial.

Tools

List models

Lists the data models available in your Odoo (depending on the installed apps). Tool: list_models.

View fields

Describes the fields of a model: name, type and whether it's required. Tool: get_model_fields.

Schema catalog

A summary of the models and their relationships, for questions that span several apps. Tool: schema_catalog.

View relationships

Shows how models relate to each other (an invoice with its customer, its lines, its payments…). Tool: inspect_model_relationships.

Model history

Which models were renamed between Odoo versions, so the Copilot uses the right one in yours. Tool: lookup_model_history.

Odoo profile

The Odoo version, the connected user and the installed modules. Tool: get_odoo_profile.

Connection status

Checks that the connection to your Odoo works. Tool: health_check.

Diagnose permissions

Checks what your Odoo user can see and do in a model. Tool: diagnose_access.

Note: No prior diagnosis guarantees that Odoo accepts a change: Odoo decides when the change is applied. If Odoo rejects it, the card tells you so and links to the requirements.

Troubleshooting

Quoted text is exactly what the app shows, in Spanish, followed by what it means. When the Copilot can't propose something, it explains why in the chat, in its own words.
