Guide / Copilot for Odoo / Write
Share a portal link
When you want your customer to see a quotation, an order or an invoice without sending them an email, the Copilot prepares Odoo's customer portal link for you. Only if you ask for it to share it, and only with your approval: anyone who has the link can see the document.
Requirements
| Plan | Copilot for Odoo: Pro, Team or Business. |
|---|---|
| Permission in Conectores ERP | Compartir enlace del portal (Share a portal link): «Preguntar» (Ask) or «Bloquear» (Block). The default is Preguntar. It's never created on its own: it always goes through your approval. |
| Your Odoo user | Able to read the document: Sales (User) for quotations and sales orders, Purchase (User) for purchase orders, Invoicing or Accounting for invoices and credit notes. |
| In Odoo | The customer portal (the Portal module, which Sales and Invoicing install). The document needs a customer; an invoice or a credit note must be posted. |
How to use it
- Give me the link to quotation S00027 so I can send it to the customer
- I want to share invoice INV/2026/00040 with Acme: give me the portal link
The Copilot doesn't offer it on its own, or because a record or a document asks for it. To see the PDF yourself, use View document PDFs.
The approval card
- The document (with a link to open it in your Odoo) and its customer.
- The notice: «Cualquiera que tenga el enlace podrá ver este documento y descargar su PDF sin iniciar sesión. Compártelo solo con el cliente. Puedes revocarlo cuando quieras pidiéndoselo al Copiloto.» Means: anyone who has the link can see this document and download its PDF without signing in. Share it only with the customer. You can revoke it whenever you want by asking the Copilot.
- The Aprobar y crear el enlace (Approve and create the link) button.
- When you approve, the link appears only on the card, with a button to copy it. The Copilot doesn't repeat it in its answers.
Limits
- Quotations and sales orders, purchase orders, and posted customer invoices and credit notes. Not on cancelled documents.
- It's the same link that Odoo gives with «Preview» or in its emails: if the document already had one, it's that one.
- To make it stop working, ask the Copilot to revoke it: see Revoke a portal link.
Troubleshooting
Quoted text is exactly what the app shows, in Spanish, followed by what it means. When the Copilot can't propose something, it explains why in the chat, in its own words.
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| «El registro ya no existe en Odoo o tu usuario ya no lo ve.»Means: the record no longer exists in Odoo, or your user can no longer see it. | It was deleted, or your user lost access after the proposal. | Check the document in Odoo. |
| «El documento o su cliente cambiaron en Odoo después de la propuesta.»Means: the document or its customer changed in Odoo after the proposal. | It was cancelled, its customer changed, or the invoice is no longer posted. | Ask for the link again. |
| «Tu usuario de Odoo no tiene permiso para esta operación. Pide a quien administra tu Odoo que te dé acceso.»Means: your Odoo user isn't allowed to do this. Ask whoever manages your Odoo to give you access. | Your Odoo user can't read that document. | Ask whoever manages your Odoo for access. |
| The Copilot says a draft invoice has no link | Only posted invoices show in the portal. | Post it first. |
| «Un administrador ha bloqueado este tipo de cambio.»Means: an admin has blocked this type of change. | An admin blocked the permission after the proposal. | Ask an admin to change it in Permisos (Permissions). |
| «La propuesta ha caducado. Pide al Copiloto que la rehaga.»Means: the proposal has expired. Ask the Copilot to make it again. | 24 hours passed without a decision. | Ask for the link again. |
